What did we do, this week? We visited places like the Museumsinsel Hombroich, with its inhabitated sculptures by Erwin Heerich, we lived inside the Raketenstation, in Heerich’s cloister, working on four extemporaneous exercises by András Pálffy in, well, let’s say „our own way“. The students could visit the Langen foundation by Tadao Ando, the Siza as well as the Fontana Pavillon, the Heerich Archive with its unique content of art, music, literature and architecture. We also had quite good food, prepared everyday by ourselves in the well organized kitchen of the cloister: totally selfmade lasagne, shellfish, meat and vegetarian food…

Those were some very worksome days, providing good results and giving the students some impressions about their own capacities to work quick and concentrated on rather difficult spatial exercises – ad libitum!

I do think this was an intense week – also for Roland and me – and it was worth every second. I already miss the place and the joyful company of those who participated…
